Seeds processing
The methods used for extracting the seeds of the fruits are mainly determined by the characteristics thereof. Fleshy fruits are treated by a pulping process which generally comprises a combination of soaking in water under pressure or with an abrasion until the scales open or separate the seeds from the fruit of the placenta, then subjected to a treatment manual or mechanical tumbling in a drum or beaten to separate the dried seeds of the nut.
The classification methods are little different from those used in the cleaning process. Separation by screening and sifting through cylinders by winnowing, by flotation and on the basis of the specific weight are effective methods for classifying by size tree seeds.
